Retains partial label "Austrian...Died at Kempton, Pa. Dec. 1921. First received distinction depicting barnyard subjects, and later landscapes. Studio at Palm Beach, Fla." on back. Early 20th century. 20 x 26 in.

Chinese Export black and gilt-laquer bonheur-du-jour, or ladies writing desk. Having a scrolling cresting above a raised back with a pair of oval paneled doors enclosing a fitted interior with long and short drawers with ivory knobs, small cabinet with original mirror, and topped by a cabinet fitted for a pocket watch. Above a detachable lap desk fitted with compartments and drawers. Over the base with a double-hinged top on cabriole legs and paw feet. c.1830. 63" h x 26" w x 25" d. April 22, 2006
