Library of a Collector: Rare Books Auction | March 26th
Quinn’s Auction Galleries is pleased to present the collection of Carlton Seitz, closing on March 26th, 2024 at 12:00PM EST. This auction features a second edition copy of The Federalist or the New Constitution, signed copy of North of Boston by Robert Frost as well as a first edition Atlas Shrugged. Also includes a first issue and edition of Malthus’s An Inquiry into the Nature and Progress of Ren.
Included in this auction are notable works of literature, the first collected edition of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s works, Moby Dick illustrated by Rockwell Kent and several editions by Dickens, Twain and Verne. Additionally we are proud to offer several volumes on exploration, philosophy and history including Canal or Railroad between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans; Report # 145 and Works of the Famous Nicholas Machiavel, and a 1784 copy of the Grand Committee on the Interest on the National Debt.

Pick up will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY starting on January 31st through February 2nd, from 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekend pick up available. If you do not have an appointment you will not be allowed to pick up your items. Please bring your own packing materials to pack your items yourself. You will be able to schedule an appointment upon receipt of your invoice.
