You can leave the auction at any time. Once you have bid on your items, return to the reception desk and you can pay for your items. We take cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard. You must pay for your items before you pick them up.

Leaving a bid

Leave an absentee bid. Before you leave, drop off a completed absentee bid form at the reception desk. You will be asked for a starting bid and Final bid as well as a the lot number and what the item is. To learn more about Absentee Bidding click here. If the auction will have avalable online bidding please please read the terms and condition as often online bidding may have slightly higher buyers premium.

Preview the auction

Take a walk through our auction house during preview times and get familiar with the items in the auction. This is a great opportunity to gather more information on the items you’ll be bidding on. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Register for a bid number

You must have a bidder number to bid (available at the reception desk). Bidder numbers are issued only on the day of the auction. There is no fee for registering, however, a valid driver’s license and credit card are necessary to register for the auction.

Each lot is subject to a 15%-25% buyer’s premium depending on the auction in addition to the hammer price. Should you be the winning bidder, you may pay with cash, local check, cashier’s check, credit card, or by wire transfer. There is an additional 4% charge for using a credit card.

Quinn’s Auction Galleries offers auctions at its galleries in Falls Church and Central Virginia. In conjunction and individually both locations offer a plethora of auction environments to accommodate a variety of items. This includes traditional auctions, split traditional and online, as well as online only auctions. Our auction houses provide free estimates to those that are interested in offering their item at auction.

Estate Sales

Another featured service we offer is on-site tag estate sales. Our company, Partners Estate Sales conducts quality assessments to help maximize the potential value of your estate. This service allows objects to be offered first at a set price. These sales are conducted in-home over a weekend and offer full clean out and organizational services as required.

*Service currently available only in the Washington, DC metro market.

Donation & Clean Out Services

Quinn’s Auction Galleries offers residential clean out services as needed by our auction, estate sale, and real estate clients.

These services include the coordination of donation and trash removal. Residential cleaning services are conducted through our moving service, for the same rates plus any municipality charges for trash disposal. When available, donation receipts are provided to the client.

These services are often provided at no charge to clients of our auction/estate sale and realty services.

Appraisal Services

We offer estate inventory and appraisal services statewide, and insurance appraisals are available at select locations. Our appraisers are USPAP certified, and in some cases members of the International Society of Appraisers. Please contact us at info@quinnsauction.com for availability.
