Phone bidding

Download and submit our phone bidding form at least 24 hours before the sale to arrange to bid. We ask that you provide us with a primary and a back-up phone number to ensure that we can reach you at the appropriate time. You may also leave a “safety bid”. If we cannot reach you on either of the provided phone numbers we will bid on your behalf up to this “safety bid.”

Absentee bidding

Clients are welcome to leave absentee bids and the auctioneer will bid on your behave up to your maximum bid. You may leave bids for an auction the following ways:

in person
by phone
by fax
or by email

We will require a credit card number to guarantee your bid. We will not charge your purchases to your credit card if you want to pay by cash or check when you pick up. When you place an absentee bid you are making a binding agreement to purchase the item “as is.” Please review the terms and conditions for each auction If you are a successful bidder on any items we will email an invoice to you after the auction. Items need to be picked up promptly.

If you have an item or items that you are interested in consigning, please contact us at info@quinnsauction.com. In your email please include 1) a photograph of the item (please include a closeup of any signatures), 2) a description and 3) any information you have on its provenance that will help us determine if it is indeed a hidden treasure. When contacting Quinn’s please provide multiple forms of contact. This will allow your Quinn’s representative to more effectively assist you.

4. Moving and item pickup services

Quinn’s can pick up any item that you would like to bring to auction. To inquire about prices and scheduling of a pick up please contact us clientservices@quinnsauction.com.

3. When We Come to You

If you have a large number of items for consignment and would like our representative to make a house call, please email to make an appointment with clientservices@quinnsauction.com.

2. When You Come to Us

We accept consignments by appointment. Please email ahead clientservices@quinnsauction.com to make a weekday appointment to ensure that the right staff members are here to look at your items. Please do not bring items to us during one of our auctions since it is difficult for us to give you and your items the attention they need.

Pick up

Please try to take all of your purchases with you on the day of the sale. If this is not possible please speak with an employee as items left may incur charges. It maybe easier for you to have your items shipped to you if this is the case please speak with our shipping department.

Check out

You can leave the auction at any time. Once you have bid on your items, return to the reception desk and you can pay for your items. We take cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard. You must pay for your items before you pick them up.

Leaving a bid

Leave an absentee bid. Before you leave, drop off a completed absentee bid form at the reception desk. You will be asked for a starting bid and Final bid as well as a the lot number and what the item is. If the auction will have online bidding available please read the terms and condition as often online bidding may have a slightly higher buyers premium.

Take a walk through our auction house during preview times and get familiar with the items in the auction. This is a great opportunity to gather more information on the items you’ll be bidding on. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
